Here’s a fun baggy fashionable cardigan I found. Its a trendy and common street wear that I myself have a few colors of. It is cozy and and warm. Winter boots go well with it. Khaki and gray definitely are my favorite colors to wear during autumn but its beautiful in all colors. It looks more like a shaw but wears like a cardigan.

If you like this open concept shoulder, I have the right sweater for you. Its a lighter wear with a lacey open shoulder wear. I admire for its feminine beauty. It may not completely keep you warm outside but definitely an inside comfort wear.

Now, some will argue that this wouldn’t fall under a sweater weather wear but when one needs to try and sport a street fashion or work gear without feeling overpowered by a sweater, this works. Its cute, and trendy. The overcast white blouse is attached looking like you may have just throw a crop sweater over but this look can draw a fashionable attention. I dont often sport this anymore but the other day when I found this, it made me think of a cool autumn season wear. It would go great with a pair of worn jeans and converse.

The Rkhives Collection Fave Sweater Weather – Part 2

This is more of an open front baggy cardigan but its an option for those who don’t prefer heavy pullover sweaters. Its comfy, cozy and fun. I often do prefer open concept when I am going out somewhere and you would need something to keep warm. It comes in various colors. I love the side weaving design on the sweaters as well. Often it can give off an old fashion look but the baggy style makes it fashionable. I ordered gray color for a friend.

The Rkhives Collection Fave Sweater Weather Season – Part 1

Been working on a project and away from this blog segment for a long time. Its time again I return to embrace it. Today, I found a comfortable fashionable Sweater Weather that anyone can sport. I have a thing for buttons so when I saw this, I had to have it. I have not worn it yet til today. I am not a big sweater person but this was cute enough for me to wear and not be too hot in. The ribbed design makes it nice as dimension helps make it less big on a person. Its rather slimming and comfortable.

Big Girls need Fashion Sense too

Today while rummaging through my closet full of dresses, blouses and tons of cardigans, I realize hitting 40 soon has really changed my style. I use to be a lot more “hip” in my own sense. But being hip accommodates your age. I still feel in my 20’s but staring at my closet, I definitely am reminded I am no longer so. I have collected more cardigans in the past few years that I’d ever imagine. There is nothing wrong with that, however, the thing is I use to hate cardigans and sweaters. That was in my 20’s through my mid-30’s. And then one day, I discovered how nice they can made me..feel. Not look. Mind you that I am only 39. I am not ‘old’ yet however, I need to get out of my “20s” mind set and start taking better care of myself physical. Here are a few things and ideas I have been brainstorming about changing my fashion sense, while I present my age comfortably. And more importantly, improve one’s confidence.

1) Accessorize with jewelries and scarves. I mean clean and nice necklace statements that will make me look a little more formal or neatly dressed. I don’t like earrings much. I will do rings and necklaces. Scarves are my favorites but its not something you can wear all year round. I do enjoy them mensely during the winter.

2) Change my hairstyle. If you know me, I have really thin and flat hair. I discover recently that it is okay to buy additional fake hair extension to volumize it. For the longest time, I didn’t know what to do with my hair anymore but pull it back in a pony tail. This continue to make me look older then I am. If you don’t like extensions, sometimes, a new hairdo or cut can change your look. Try it. Hair grows back.

3) Lastly, find time to spa treat yourself. After a long day of bustling school or work, home and family, I appreciate a me time now. I always took for granted because I would refuse to pamper myself and think it was a waste of money. But now, I cant wait for my next session. Holidays are coming up so I am booking one for myself. No matter what age, losing yourself with some me time can change your style. Even if its temporarily, every moment counts.

Face Mask Obsession Continues: Black Charcoal Mask sheet

Getting myself spa treatments again. I went back to retrieve more masks this time in other scents. I can definitely feel the softness in my skin the next morning. The smell is quite refreshing so far and I haven’t disliked any one of them. I want to do more masks haul online in the future and compare. I am not keen to just one brand but so far, Soo Ae is doing well for me.

In this pic, I am using the black charcoal mask sheet. Trust me, it does not smell like charcoal. In fact, its my first time ever seeing a black mask but I love it so far. This one is quite thick and refreshing as well. I love how thick and drenched the masks are yet does not drip easily. I just wish they made the top a little longer for people with big foreheads like me. I had to move it around a little bit and was able to squeeze out some of the liquid to paste it around the naked areas. But overall, the masks still sat nicely on my face while I spa’d.

Sheet Masks Korean Brand Soo Ae

Long ago, I never understood the usage of sheet masks before bed. When I first tried in my teens, I thought they were a hassle and a mess. Overtime, of course, mask sheets have improved. Then I discover quality over quantity as well. Although they have been around for a long time, they have become more popular among women today. Typically Asians in the far east. Along its booming make up brands, mask sheets has also made its way into the western world.

I picked these sheet masks at my local Walmart by coincident when I was needing a current face cleansing wash. This was my first time seeing Korean brands too at Walmart. I used the deep sea water cooling mask last night and I have to say, it really made a big difference. It wasn’t your usual cheap sheets. I felt like I was in a spa getting pampered for the first time. Instructions says to leave it on for a good 20mins. I left for 30 and then lightly cleaned off my face with a paper towel. I was left with a soft yet sticky feeling but I assume normally you would need to also rinse off your face. I don’t know if it really makes a difference overtime since it was my first time using it and first night. I might try the orange vitamin I also picked up tonight and see how this one does. I would definitely try it again in the future. Although, the price was $2.50 per mask, as some may think its a little pricey but consider the quality of it. Its actually quite average. I know that I have seen some for $.99 cents sometimes in packs and have found that they were not always the best quality. Anyhow, I’d give it a 7 out of 10 if you want to look for a new mask sheet for use. I have never heard of Soo Ae but I would definitely use it again.

Late Spring-Summer makeup mini haul: Money wasted?

DSC00048.JPG

I don’t buy make up often anymore. At least until I’ve used up most of what I’ve got. But I finally got sucked into buying a few things at my local drugstores, Mac Store and Sephora this season. It was few a things too many and out of the things I bought, I really enjoyed only one of them. *sad face. Some of them were rebuy while some were new experiences. So what did I do with the other stuff I bought? I returned it. Well, what I could. I don’t normally do so but I realize, I don’t need to keep them. I can experience it once and if its not in my fit, I can return or ask for store credit. And after a few reasonable views, I was able to return the MAC eye concealer or in which I traded in for something else. That was the most disappointing buy for me. The concealer is thick and dry on me. Perhaps it is my skin but the color wasn’t off, I have that to say about it. And then there was Boscia eye make remover that was too oily. I am using it because I need it and need to just use it up. I won’t buy it again. I kept the MAC eye palette only because my sister actually liked the colors so I gave it to her. I don’t know if MAC has fall short on their ingredients and quality but their eye shadows I bought were a bit chalky. The pigmentation was disappointed too. You’d have to use tons of eye primer. I have bought far less pricey eye shadow with better pigmentation. I definitely kept my NYC butter lip gloss. They are nice on my lips and has great color selections. I’ve tried other similar brands and style but I always come back to them.
